    WordPress 6.5.3 RC1 is currently available for testing under the “beta” pin of WordPress. The final release is expected on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024. Please note that this date can change depending on possible issues after RC1 is released.

    This security and maintenance release features 2 bug fixes on Core, 12 bug fixes for the Block Editor, and 1 security fix. Because this is a security release, WordPress 6.5.2 has been deployed to the platform for the “latest” and “beta” pins. The “previous” pin has been updated to the 6.4.4 backport. n.b. There was no WP 6.5.1.
